Looking After Ourselves
“The things that make me different are the things that make me, me.”
Piglet (from Winnie the Pooh)
Personal, Social, Health Education and Wellbeing at Loxley
How it is delivered?
PSHE at Loxley is part of the wider curriculum and can be found taught as part of exploring history, geography and English for example, from Reception though to Y6. As well as having dedicated time for specific areas of the PSHE curriculum. eg: Internet Safety, Sex and Health Education. At Loxley we are dedicated to supporting children with the ‘Healthy Minds’ approach to learning and the Zones of Regulation.
What is it?
PSHE is taught as way of preparing children for the wider world covering a range of topics and allowing children to be brave, honest, reflective and consider their individual value as well as the value they can contribute to a wider community. PSHE at Loxley allows children to use their enquiring minds to understand more about the world they are growing up in.
Show it
PSHE knowledge and understanding is demonstrated in the way children demonstrate their Social, moral, spiritual and cultural understanding. Children are encouraged to demonstrate this through a range of strategies eg: their vocabulary and language, their involvement in clubs, demonstrating and modelling positive behaviour choices.

Meet the Loxley Healthy Mind Champions!
The Healthy Mind Wellbeing Champions are working hard at Loxley to make sure they can
‘make people happy’
‘help problems’
‘help make things fair’
At lunch times in the Horsa Hut they help run a club encouraging fair play, calmness, chats and fun and a chance for them to help others become more confident and happy around school.
Online Safety
Online Safety is an integral part of safeguarding and requires a whole school, cross curricular approach and collaboration between key school leads.
We ask parents to be aware of the school’s Online Safety Policy and the children’s Acceptable Use Policies.
